I've seen some woven front/knit back tops in the shops for example.SewRuthiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09277062926597842242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6300410233569072894.post-78033733245776382702015-04-12T12:28:43.570+10:002015-04-12T12:28:43.570+10:00I also struggle with throwing out scraps and then ...I also struggle with throwing out scraps and then end up with a 'not seeing the wood for the trees' scenario. Your scrap busting combination really works. Maybe the 70cm could be a skirt but the 40cm, I have nothing!fabric epiphanieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08315635356310954354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6300410233569072894.post-70879067742911407822015-04-12T11:02:02.648+10:002015-04-12T11:02:02.648+10:00Great shorts. So decadently wonderful.

I have a similar tendency to hoard scraps. I bought a 2.5 yard piece of lt wt French terry for PJ pants. I made the PJ pants, then used the scraps to make a boxy top for myself (with sleeves made from a thrifted T). Then I used the skinny scraps from that to make a color-block princess-seamed top for my daughter--again pairing the scraps with a thrifted T.

That's it. I have to stop and move on to the rest of the nice pieces in my stash.

http://badmomgoodmom.blogspot.com/2015/04/simplicity-1199.html
http://badmomgoodmom.blogspot.com/2015/03/world-water-day-2015.htmlbadmomgoodmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11569728075698885020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6300410233569072894.post-60856757172662560612015-04-12T09:53:08.203+10:002015-04-12T09:53:08.203+10:00Pretty pieces. I have been stash busting too and making tops from remnant pieces, but luckily I use more fabric than your daughter, so have got most of them out of the stash. :)Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01023115170916061414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6300410233569072894.post-55874215162482497932015-04-12T07:55:07.424+10:002015-04-12T07:55:07.424+10:00A lovely summer outfit there.
