May 2008 mini-travel-wardrobe

My entry for the pattern review May Mini-Wardrobe is here. This is the first time I have made a composite photograph, and I am not very good at it. I must practice a bit more. I have used the contest to focus my sewing and to give me a deadline, as I am easily distracted by the next big idea whilst I am sewing.
These garments are part of DD the younger's travel wardrobe for France. She leaves in less than 2 weeks, so this sewing deadline was well timed for me. She can get 7 outfits from these 4 garments, so I am pretty pleased with the planning this time. There are quite a few more garments in her full travel wardrobe, and I am planning one more pair of pants, probably brown capris, and maybe another tank top/vest. However, today I plan to work on my blouse for Elizabeth's June Capsule Contest at Stitcher's Guild. For some reason I am a bit nervous about the big pattern on the batik, and whether the placement will work with the embroidery, and have not even tried fiddling with it yet! I have 3 free hours in which to sew, and must get off the computer and do it!
