Easter Plans

I am finding it very tricky to sew at the moment. This morning I actually considered skipping make up before going to work so that I could put the zipper in the trousers I am making. I have a problem.
(I did not skip the makeup, the trousers remain zipperless, the problem remains restricted to wanting to sew, but only barely)
I can still plan. However, my planning seems to operate on whims.
First I felt inspired to use some of my Sydney fabric shopping haul from (blush) October after I was admiring my fabric the other day whilst trying to force the cupboard door to close. Then Elizabeth asked me to write about my overlocker. Really, I hardly use my overlocker, I am practically a knit novice, and after Elizabeth's comment, was reminded that I really want to get better use from my overlocker.

Today, Sherril showed this t shirt on her blog.

It was the last straw, and I want to make it. There is dark brown lace and dark brown rayon knit in the Sydney pile for which this idea will be perfect.
I want to make this shirt by the end of Easter Monday. I also want to make the final two shirts and maybe a different skirt for my daughter's SWAP. There is a BWOF 2-2010 t shirt just made by KID,MD that I want to try this weekend too. Unfortunately, even I can see that this is impossible, as Easter has its own obligations, and also a family visit and 4 long bike rides need to be fitted in.
There should be a sewing term that says the same thing as "Your eyes are bigger than your stomach".

I am going nowhere and seeing no one this weekend. The furthest I will go from my house is downstairs to my sewing room and I really don't care if I don't speak to another person for the whole weekend. I hope you can squeeze out a little time for sewing. Happy Easter!

I, like Carole, am refusing to go anywhere this weekend except for my sewing room. Hope you can manage to fit some sewing time in as well as all that is planned.

Can't wait to see that top made up, now have to checkout Sherril's blog.

I am going on holiday and won't be anywhere near a sewing room. So the coat drags on and on and on into another fortnight.

Totally identify with what you are saying in that I also 1) have a wardrobe of orphans because I go with just whatever I feel like making 2) have sewing eyes that are bigger than my seamstress stomach.

Hope you manage some creative time for yourself in with all that family time.

Well, I'm with you. I will most likely be anywhere BUT my sewing room...

I sympathise (aus spelling for you)! I was out of town last weekend and involved in a friend's wedding this weekend and I'm so frustrated that I haven't had a chance to be in my sewing room for longer than a half hour at a time in weeks!
