Travel clothes in action

I finished this blouse, Simplicity 2501 just before we left but ran out of time to post about it.
SAM_1254 I am writing this post, using a French keyboard, in a 10th century abbey which is now a hotel. It is an amazing place, but back to sewing...
I am finding this blouse is one of the most useful items in the travel wardrobe, as it is cool to wear, dries overnight after handwashing, and the wrinkles are not too awful. My trip advisors were right, there are no irons in French hotels. The fabric is a blouse weight Japanes cotton from Schacks Fabric Indooropilly.

There has not been much sewing reated viewing yet, but there was a notions stall in a market in Tolouse.

Very nice blouse! The chain type hotels in the UK all seem to have irons, though the more interesting independent ones don't. Looking forward to meeting up in a couple of week's time.

I love Simplicity 2501 and cant wait to sew it again. Love the Liberty print. Did you buy fabric in France?

The fabric in that top is gorgeous (I wish my top in that fabric had worked as well as yours!)

Your trip looks fantastic - enjoy!

That's a pretty, lightweight blouse. Very nice. I like the top in your last post also.

That is a lovely blouse! And a 10th century Abbey in France. Can we trade lives for a moment?
