Sewing for Nieces

My SIL has sent me some photographs of my nieces modelling sewing presents. Here is my 2 year old niece wearing version 2 of "Sunshine" from AS&E 60. It is a bit big on her. I keep forgetting to go down a size for AS&E. The pattern is 24 months and the niece is 28 months. I did use a deeper ruffle than the pattern.

Here is the princess dress I made for my 4 year old niece's birthday. I made a size 5, as this is a dress up costume, and you can see that it is huge too. Oh well, I suppose it is better too big than too small when sewing for children.

Adorable! If those kids grow as fast as the ones I know, those dresses will fit in no time. And they are cute as a button the entire time! K
