The outfit is BWOF 4-2009-121 skirt - repeat, Jalie sweetheart green merino top - repeat, worn with the hand knitted origami cardigan from Jo Sharp Knit 7. I made the i-cord tie only recently, and think the cardigan might look better with the kilt pin I used all last year.
I am thinking more about colour. You would not know from this photograph that there is a lot of quite a vibrant green yarn through the cardigan - and the tie.. It reads as muted neutral again. I wonder if things look flatter and less colourful in a photo than in real life. Or perhaps I focus on small details rather than the overall look?

This is gorgeous; the soft pretty greens look stunning against your lilac backdrop. This is a really beautiful ensemble!!
I'm dying to know, since I can't see it anywhere obvious, if it is not a secret, WHERE in Australia are you located? I would guess Melbourne or Tasmania, but maybe not? Canberra?
Lovely outfit BTW.
And your job/ work has me intrigued...
I think the camera lies about everything - I can't get mine to tell the truth no matter what I do!! In any case, today's outfit is great - that cardi is awesome with the tie - great textures.
Imaan - I am curious too. My vote is QLD, because our weather seems to be similar.
The outfit is great. I am always in awe of people who knit. Amazing work.
I think the camera doesn't exactly lie, but when there are closely mixed colors, unless it's a closeup, the colors blend together to create an overall effect. The brightness in the ties IS apparent.
Bright sunlight/flash can help too, but can also wash out the color intensity.
Nice outfit-I like the tonal quality. It plays off your hair color.
