Today I am making an effort. I hope you notice the nice rural scene in the background instead of my front door, the azalea bush or the building next door to work. I thought you could do with a bit more variety.

Those are cows off in the distance, for the people who think there are mostly sheep here :).
I am not paddock-bashing in this outfit. I am teaching a knitting class this morning. Fortunately the weather has cooled considerably, so I can wear my favourite cardigan (my pattern). I am pleased that this is not another neutral colour! Underneath I am wearing BWOF 12-2008-130 (reviewed here). This dress gave me a lot of trouble to sew, and unfortunately I have not worn it much. My husband does not like it, so I don't wear it when I go out with him.It is not a stay-at-home dress.

Nice background, and the cardi is great adding a little pop of soft colour to the neutrals.

That outfit is very pretty, and I love the scenic shoot! I think you're right about color; while I have darker hair than you do I look washed out easily, and cream-plus-tan is rather unflattering (although, in theory, those are "my" colors). I find there are two ways to go: One, like you did here, a shot of color to go with the neutrals or, two, a stronger contrast (dark plus light neutrals).

I see the link you are talking about and I do not know how that got there???? There would be no reason for me to do that. I'm just as perplexed as you are.

Did you write that pattern down or did you just make it up as you went along? I love it and I want one! I am amused to see that my word verification is treddli
