I hope you weren't breathing a sigh of relief when you saw those chair covers.
I am only part way through the work wardrobe, although the "worker" returns to school tomorrow. Photos lag behind sewing in this house.
Work blouse mumber 4 is a repeat of McCall's M5522, but due to the variety of design options offerred in the pattern it looks quite different, which is a rather useful trait in a pattern.
The fabric this time is a shirting cotton from Ewan Gardam Fabric in Brisbane. As the print is much less business-like than that used previously, I kept the structure of the blouse more conventional than the earlier be-ruffled and extra puffy sleeve version.
This time I made version D, which has a collar and no front ruffles. I shortened the sleeves and added a small tuck above the hem for shaping as this is a sleeve detail I like. I used super crisp fusible shirting interfacing from Fashion sewing supplies.in the collar, stand and front placket.
Wearing the blouse tucked in also makes it look different, and unfortunately means that you cannot see the cute peplum detail.
I may have breathed my own sigh of relief at the thought of the return of the school uniform on Monday.

I can't believe you have done so much in a week! You are super woman! I hope your children appreciate all your efforts and expertise!
Love the soft look of this fabric - very feminine, yet great for a work shirt...
You have done an awesome job on all these work blouses!
Another lovely work blouse. They all look so pretty on your daughter!
Wow you accomplished so much in such a short amount of time. What a lucky daughter you have!
another pretty blouse and I hope your daughter gets lots of use of them . I also forgot to mention how good your new chair covers look as well - makes me glad I live in cold Victoria and not have to worry about the effects of humidity.
WHat a great pattern- this is so versatile and you're using it so well. Love them all.
Another pretty blouse - and this fabric is just lovely on your daughter.
All of these work blouses are so gorgeous! Your daughter now has a definite "work look" which will help her be the person she needs to be at work.
Pretty blouse with lovely details! Very nice work as usual! :-)
I'm with you on the school uniform thing - saves so much time and effort and I've a boy! The blouses you've made will also be useful for interviews too - lovely work.
another great blouse for your daughter - you are running these up so quickly.
That's another pretty work blouse. You've done a great job matching fabric to style - again :)
You are most definitely super mom! I love all the blouses you made. I wish I looked halfway as pulled together as your daughter when I head off to work!
Another super pretty outfit - who would have thought the office junior could look so fetching?
I think I need this pattern. The print you've used is really lovely and it suits this blouse perfectly.
Absolutely lovely. All three blouses are just beautiful!
Sorry, I meant FOUR blouses! They are all pretty enough to look gorgeous with jeans or for non-work occasions too. She is lucky to have a talented Mum like you!
They are all very pretty blouses. Your daughter is very lucky to have a mother so generous with her time.
Very impressive blouses for your daughter, job perfect and pretty at the same time. Now the Director Chair covers are very smart and good thinking to save them.
I, for one, am very glad that your daughter has been participating in work experience. I always admire and enjoy your posts and of course, her need for work clothes has spurred you to new heights of productivity. What a lovely work wardrobe you have made for her! And is it just my imagination or has she become a much more willing model? The photos really show off your fine workmanship!
